Goldstripe sardinella is captured in Indonesia by purse seine fisheries (DOF 2020). No population structure information has been found in the region, only a preliminary genomic study (Sebastian et al. 2018). Assessments for Indonesia were not found (Marine Trust and Almeida Ayres 2024), although there is a nearby assessment in Bangladesh, Bay of Bengal (Barman et al. 2021).

Management in Thailand is differenciated between the Gulf of Thailand fisheries and the Andaman Sea fisheries (Kulanujaree et al. 2020), therefore, two profiles for the species are available for Thailand:
