Spotted rose snapper, Rose snapper

The Spotted rose snapper is distributed from the Gulf of California to Peru (Allen and Robertson, 1994 in (Hernández-Álvarez et al. 2020)). It is present along the entire Tropical Eastern Pacific and was found to have a large genetic diversity but it seems to be only one population along with the entire distribution (Hernández-Álvarez et al. 2020).

In Mexico, this species is targeted by the Huachinango and pacific snappers fishery (DOF 2023). No information about stock assessments could be found.
