Pacific anchoveta (Cetengraulis mysticetus) is distributed from southwestern coast of Baja California, Mexico and from the Gulf of California to northern Peru. No information regarding stock structure in Colombian waters could be found. It is targeted with Opisthonema spp. in the purse seine small pelagics fishery in Colombia (Díaz Merlano et al. 2011).
