Helicolenus dactylopterus (Delaroche 1809), is a marine demersal fish that is widely distributed in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Four different populations exist in the NE Atlantic (Rodríguez-Mendoza et al. 2019):
The species is captured by longline fisheries and many demersal fisheries as bottom trawls (STECF 2021).
