Meretrix spp. (mainly Meretrix lyrata and M. meretrix) have a wide distribution along the Indo-West Pacific region. In Indonesia, the species can be found in most regions, where they are usually captured using dredges (Rimelahas et al. 2022). No stock assessment has been found for this species group, only very local studies Pratama et al. with Bahtiar et al. (2022). Catches are reported to FAO at genus and national level (FAO 2024).
