Pacific bluefin tuna, Atún aleta azul
Pacific bluefin tuna is found mainly in the North Pacific Ocean and also in limited areas in the Southern hemisphere. Spawning grounds are situated in the Western North Pacific and trans-Pacific migrations occur (Simanek and Rodríguez, 2009; ISC, 2014a,b). The population is considered a single Pacific-wide stock {ISC 2014}.
