CeDePesca trained fishery observers, environmental management technicians, and marine science students to collect data on interactions between the Argentine hake and Patagonian shrimp fisheries with protected species. The training introduced updated data collection methods, focusing on critical fishing phases to enhance the accuracy of monitoring species interactions and support sustainable fisheries management.

The FIP produced a draft document that outlines management measures for the common hake, including catch limits, fishing rules, and seasonal restrictions to maintain the species' reproductive biomass above defined reference points. It also includes provisions for monitoring, control, and the creation of a commission to oversee the fishery's sustainability.

A virtual meeting was held between researchers from the hake research program, representatives of the squid fishery, and CeDePesca to discuss the progress of scientific activities related to the hake fishery. The researchers reported significant progress on squid catch analysis, bycatch studies, and the impact of fishing on benthic communities.
