FIP Implementation	May 24	FIP activities undertaken 2 May 2024 — The FIP signed an advocacy letter from the NGO Tuna Forum addressed to IOTC heads of delegations, urging action on yellowfin tuna stock rebuilding, management procedures for skipjack tuna and swordfish, requirements for fully biodegradable FADs, and shark management. 8 May 2023 — Resolution 23/04 established setting catch limits for bigeye tuna for the 2024-2025 season. 20 April 2023 — The FIP in tandem with several other NGOs addressed the IOTC as part of an NGO Tuna Forum initiative. The letter emphasized the need for a yellowfin rebuilding plan and requested expedited efforts to develop and adopt robust management procedures for tuna.
