The FIP, in conjunction with the Chiapas Aquaculture Health Committee, has been conducting water quality sampling looking at oxygen, temperature and nitrate levels; water quality sampling is being carried out at 14 stations distributed in the soft shrimp fishing area within the reserve. 

The FIP held a meeting to discuss ongoing FIP progress. 

The FIP has produced a report detailing recent activities accomplished by the monitoring program. 

Increase to PI 2.1.3 & 2.2.3; The FIP has begun to generate information on primary and secondary species.

Increase to PI 1.2.3; the FIP utilizes monitoring logs such as field logs to sample fishing catches, including accompanying fauna, and a water quality monitoring log. Regular meetings are also held to validate monitoring processes in the FIP. 

Increase to PI 2.3.3; The FIP has begun to generate information on ETP species.

The FIP has developed a logbook as a part of the implementation of a monitoring program to record catch during field sampling.
