FIP Implementation	Nov 22	FIP activities undertaken 30 November 2022 — The FIP sent a letter to the FFC requesting the modification of hoki management measures with regard to the recurrent catch of undersized individuals. 8 November 2022 — INIDEP published Technical Report N° 057/2022 on the assessment of hoki abundance in the SW Atlantic; the report includes BAC recommendations for 2023 8 September 2022 — A research cruise was approved by the FFC and conducted with the objective to characterize the hoki stock structure just outside the Argentina EEZ and identify the status of the sexual maturity of individual species; the results of the cruise are not yet available. 24 August 2022 — Southern demersal fish species campaign was carried out between March- April 2022; the results of the campaign has been compiled into a report and made availabl.e 20 December 2021 — The Hoki Commission held a virtual follow-up meeting; current landings data for the 2014-2021 period was presented 16 December 2021 — N° 19/2021 issued by the FFC establishing the maximum allowable catch for 2022 at 80,000 tonnes. 1 December 2021 — Third annual surveillance report made available; abundance levels updated for the 1985-2020 period 1 August 2021 — Technical report produced; out of polish, hoki, toothfish, southern cod, and southern hake, the argentine fleet had the largest catch of hoki. 1 July 2021 — Federal Fisheries Council meetings held in the summer of 2021; landing data and the need for a survey were discussed. 18 December 2020 — Follow-Up Comission meeting held; INIDEP provided updates to stakeholders and discussed the potential of carrying out a peer review of the stock assessment 18 December 2020 — Stock assessment conducted (Resolution CFP N°14/2020); INIDEP reported a slight increase in spawning biomass to 43% BR0 and recommended a TAC of 80,000 metric tons for 2021 26 November 2020 — Abundance assessment of hoki conducted for the years 1985- 2019 in the Southwest Atlantic 26 November 2020 — Technical report (N°38/2020) produced for the FIP's stock assessment (Resolution CFP N°14/2020) 14 October 2020 — CeDePesca issued a press release about the importance of conducting regular research campaigns for Southern species, including hoki 15 September 2020 — A virtual meeting was held with INIDEP researchers in relation to improvements for the hoki fishery
