4. Improvements in Fishing Practices and Fishery Management	Dec 22	Verifiable improvement in policy/management and fishing practices 3 December 2022 — CMM 2022-01 was adopted at WCPFC19 as an interim skipjack tuna management procedure; the newly adopted CMM will ensure that the spawning potential depletion ratio of skipjack tuna is maintained on average at a level consistent with the target reference point 1 August 2022 — FIP has adopted a fleet-wide waste management policy to address FAD and marine debris removal 1 January 2022 — The FIP has adopted a fleet-wide ETP management and strategy policy to reduce incidental bycatch 3 February 2021 — MSC PI score 2.2.2 increase; There is strong evidence shark finning is not taking place, a shark finning policy exists with strong observer coverage and compliance which would have shown any incidents.
