4. Improvements in Fishing Practices and Fishery Management	Jul 23	Verifiable improvement in policy/management and fishing practices 26 July 2023 — Increase to MSC PI 1.2.1; An internal agreement has been made with the cooperative to implement a harvest strategy. 1 July 2023 — Increase to MSC PI 2.5.3; An analysis was conducted on the impact of fishing gear on the ecosystem and no negative impacts were identified. 9 August 2022 — A gear selectivity analysis was conducted and demonstrated that the trap (40.99% of the total catch) was more selective than the handline (37.86% of the total catch); incidental catch was also identified in the analysis including the California sheephead, the barred sandbass, groupers, rockfish, yellowtail amberjack and the California two-spot octopus. 3 August 2020 — Increase in score 2.3.3; Fishing logbooks have been implemented and are being used by fishers- no negative interactions with ETP to report 3 August 2020 — Increase in BMT score 2.2.3; Fishing logbooks have been satisfactorily and consistently implemented 1 March 2019 — Analysis of the logbook data published. Based on this analysis, there is no evidence of a impact on secondary species and ETP species
