3. FIP Implementation	Jan 18	FIP activities undertaken 1 January 2018 — ICCAT began a bycatch database for fisheries in 2010 in order to support the objectives for an ICCAT bycatch monitoring protocol. The FIP is adding to the database more recent studies on swordfish and pelagic fishery interactions with ETP/LESCE species in the Southwest Atlantic Ocean. Compilation of scientific findings began in November 2017 and will continue throughout the life of the FIP.
