Comments:

The AIP uses a scalable and transferable model to improve profitability and attract investment into the shrimp industry through better governance and farm management that reduce risks, improve productivity, and protect natural resources.

The AIP aims to:

Provide shrimp farmers with tools to improve their productivity
Enable shrimp clubs, co-ops, and local government to better understand and manage emerging disease outbreaks and cumulative environmental impacts

AIP Implementation	Oct 22	AIP activities undertaken 21 October 2022 — A new Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Thai Department of Fisheries and FAI to continue the AIP and bring it to a national level 30 September 2021 — Stakeholder consultation and engagement. Change of roles between project implementers. Bringing staff on the ground back to work and planning testing due to the COVID situation. Constraints The COVID situation in Thailand has worsened over the last 6 months. Project implementation has been challenging with many activities delayed and changed. 30 April 2021 — Disease diagnostic services continue to be delivered through the local technician in the Shrimp Club Meetings to train farmers on the use of the My SHRImp app* have taken place and videos on how to use the app have been shared among the different Line app groups The free My SHRImp app allows local farmers to confidentially submit their disease, production, and harvest status and receive updated regional information including disease forecasts, market information, and alerts on three key diseases: EHP, AHPND (EMS), White spot disease. To learn more click here. Constraints COVID -19 continues to impact the opportunity for face-to-face meetings needed to workshop solutions with farmers. However, the team continues to use remote options where possible. 7 December 2020 — Current AIP activities and timeframes are included in the AIP workplan. Completed activities include: Deliver novel club/coop app to support coordinated management of risk across areas Deliver novel diagnostic service for farmers Engage DoF offices and other actors Baseline data collection 31 October 2020 — Disease diagnostic services continue to be delivered through the local technician in the Shrimp Club. Meetings to train farmers on the use of the My SHRImp app have taken place. Meetings with representatives from the Department of Fisheries have continued virtually.
